About Polly

I grew up in the lush hinterland near Byron Bay, where my musical journey began in the most organic way possible – singing in beachside cafes along the Northern Rivers coast. With my acoustic guitar and a voice that I hoped could connect with people, I spent my late teens and early twenties honing my craft in intimate venues where the sound of crashing waves provided the perfect backdrop to my performances.

Growing up surrounded by the creative energy of Byron's artistic community, I developed a unique sound that blends coastal folk sensibilities with 60s girl-group and Motown influences. My early years were spent writing songs in my family's rainforest cottage, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of the hinterland and the bohemian spirit of the region that shaped me.

My big break came when I was discovered by Artie Fishall & The Intelligence. I'll never forget when Artie heard me play – my harmonies and stage presence caught his attention, leading to a collaboration that would change everything. Having my vocals become a defining feature of The Wind Was Kind was a dream come true, and it showed me that I could be more than just a backing vocalist.

Building on the momentum from my work with Artie, I took the bold step of launching my solo career. In April 2026, I released my debut single, Be My Digital Boyfriend, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter. The track showcases the sound that I am striving for, he sound that first captivated audiences in those early beachside performances, now refined and ready to share with the world.

With my roots firmly planted in the Byron hinterland and my eyes set on the horizon, I'm ready to bring genuine heart and soul to every note.
